The American Fidelity Mentoring Program is a formal program designed “to develop AF’s future, one Colleague at a time.” It is open to all Colleagues seeking a development opportunity through informal learning and knowledge sharing.
In 2015, 104 Colleagues participated in the mentoring program and we’ve just kicked off the program for 2016. Last year was the first year we tried a new “online dating” style of matching mentees to mentors, which helped ensure the mentees were partnered with someone who could help them reach their goals for the mentorship.
Here are just a few things last year’s participants had to say about the program.
“When using the online application, I really wanted to be paired with the person who said ‘the older I get the more I realize the less I know.’ When I had my first meeting with Jonathan, one of the first things he said was that quote, so the online pairing worked!
