What’s Happening at AFA I Hiring and Onboarding

It is very important that our Colleagues have a great start, from the time they begin the interview process to the time they attend orientation. We want them to understand everything they have access to as an AFA Colleague. Once we find a right fit for a position, we do our best to provide any information they may need or want in their initial offer letter.

Once a candidate accepts an offer and starts working at American Fidelity, we do our best to make sure they have someone to answer any questions they might have. New Colleagues are given an AF Friend who is there to help them get settled in their new position. Now let’s face it, there is already a lot to learn in a new job itself, but there’s also a lot to learn about our Company, the building and where things are, our intranet and more. That’s where our Talent Management team comes in. Within the first few weeks on the job, new Colleagues attend Smart Start, our new-Colleague orientation program. They learn about our core values, get a tour of the building and intranet, find out who to call for certain problems, etc. What are some things you would like to know when first starting a new job?
