Apply now or share with your friends!  Group Underwriter AFA’s group underwriters are accountable for the profitability, selection and retention of group products, create business plans, prepare renewal recommendations and develop prospect proposals. They play an important role in serving Customers and ensuring the financial stability of AFA. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in business, math, computer science, insurance, management or a related field, knowledge of risk management principles related to insurance, oral and written communications skills, experience with insurance contracts and compliance issues, analytic and organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects and willingness to take initiative. Project Coordinator Many departments at AFA employ project coordinators to help keep their areas running smoothly and manage projects. The Worksite Group is responsible for supporting our Customer service, claims and sales teams by providing marketing, field training, risk management and other services. They are hiring a project coordinator to manage communication projects for the business development, field training, field recruiting and marketing teams. Projects include tasks such as Health Care Reform resources and webinar coordination, maintaining sales analytics and developing a Customer relationship management philosophy. Applicants need strong skills in oral and written communications, analytics, organization, project management, research, presentation development and time management. Experience working with benefits plan administration is a plus.
