[caption id="attachment_2752" align="alignnone" width="300"] Tommy C., Worksite Group Client Services[/caption] Last week we shared comments from our Colleagues about how American Fidelity cares and celebrates. This week, see what they have to say about being welcomed into a new position and workplace and how they feel our Company inspires them to feel their work has more meaning than just being a job. Welcoming “New Colleagues are given a tour and then are assigned another Colleague on our team to go to lunch with. This Colleague also becomes their buddy on the team. We also welcome new Colleagues with a goody day or potluck luncheon.” “I work mostly with field Colleagues. We try to team new people up with a partner to work until they are comfortable with their job. This gives them someone to mentor them and answer questions as they learn the day to day activities of their job, and as they come across the not so usual parts.” “I was just hired recently. I was happy to see American Fidelity has a three-day orientation process. I've been assigned a mentor from the department I've been hired into to show me around and to answer any questions I have. My manager and teammates have been very friendly." Inspiring “I always feel like American Fidelity tries to keep me informed with anything that is changing. They make me feel like they want me to be the first to know something instead of the last. This makes me feel like I am important and I am more than just an employee.” “I am not only expected to think critically about my work, but I am constantly encouraged to do so. At AFA, I have been given several responsibilities where I that I feel I am the best person for the task. With most other jobs I had in the past, I was expected to perform mindless tasks. Here, I feel as though I am really making an impact on the Company with my thoughtful work and performance.” “From the day I first started working at AFA, I have felt that this is more than a job. They treat Customers and Colleagues like family.” How would you like to be welcomed to a new job and what inspires you at work? Let us know in the comments!
