As fall approaches, we’re inching closer and closer to fully transitioning into our new Home Office location in Oklahoma City. With the move comes modernized office space, the latest and greatest technology and a killer view of the city. While all these new comforts give us plenty to look forward to, I find myself most excited about the new on-site café manned by the good folks at Guckenheimer. As one of the premier food service management companies in the country, Guckenheimer’s goal is to create a customized dining experience befitting of AFA’s culture by offering healthy, hand-prepared meals for Colleagues to enjoy together. To help American Fidelity Colleagues in their goal to “Live Smart,” all menu items in our new café are conveniently labeled as either Green (healthiest choice), Yellow (healthy choice) or Red (least healthy choice). Healthier food items are discounted and the discounts are built into the menu pricing - Green items are 50 percent off, Yellow items are 30 percent off and Red items are “street price,” or what you would expect to pay at other restaurants. Delicious, healthy food served right in the office. When it comes to perks, it doesn’t get much better than that! Currently, Guckenheimer has set up a temporary café in our new Home Office while construction on a new permanent eatery is finished up. Our Colleagues will have quite a bit of input on the design of the new café, and I know many of us can’t wait to see it in person!
