I’m so excited to announce AFA has once again been named to IDG Computerworld’s list of Best Places to Work in IT. Coming in at No. 18 among mid-sized companies, this is our 12th consecutive appearance on the list. As part of the selection process, Computerworld conducts extensive surveys of IT workers, making this honor special because it means our IT Colleagues truly believe AFA is one of the best places to work. Being an Employer of Choice is one of our top goals as a Company, and we love being able to recognize our IT team in this way. “Our 200 IT Colleagues work diligently to make life easier for our Customers and Colleagues. Our focus is on helping others and making AFA successful, so we strive to reward Colleagues by creating an environment where they love coming to work each day,” said Kim Fisher, chief information officer. “Making this list for 12 straight years also helps us recruit top talent, which is crucial as we continuously add software developers, database developers, technical infrastructure analysts and other IT positions to our team to better serve our Customers.” Our IT team has accomplished a lot this year to further our technology and better serve Customers and Colleagues. We implemented an all-wireless environment at our future headquarters, launched a new online enrollment platform for Customers and began moving away from legacy systems. We also launched several initiatives this past year, including new hire lunches with the CIO, an Innovation Challenge, a mentoring program and a new research and development team with rotating members.
