Developing leaders at American Fidelity is a big deal. It’s important that our leaders are all on the same page when it comes to growing Colleagues and leading them to meet the Company’s strategic goals and initiatives. Each year all supervisors are required to attend a “Leadership Camp” that focuses on sharing best practices and polishing leadership skills. This year, Scott Klososky, an international technology speaker, entrepreneur, consultant and author specializing in translating and bridging technology "mind gaps" within organizations to improve business processes was brought in to help our leaders understand that “we’re all in this together” when it comes to defining our business goals and how we get there with technology: www.fpov.com. I’ve attended a few of these camps during the past few years and yes, they are always full of great and useful information I can use but this year I left with some great takeaways and some great new insight into what it is that really sets AFA apart. If I really sat down and thought about it, I already knew this, but one thing from this year’s event that really resonated with me was that AFA really is filled with great people doing great things. As I listened to the speaker talk about how leaders (not just in IT) need to adapt with technology tools that keep them relevant in order for the company to survive, it drove home that AFA really gets it. We’re always striving to be better for our Customers. We’re encouraged to look for new ways to change what we’re doing to be able to meet Customer needs. We’re not satisfied with status quo. And, it’s okay to be human, too. Most companies believe in training their leaders, but AFA really works hard to make sure that everyone knows that it takes all of us to be successful. What are ways your company stays on top of the latest trends?
