AFA Implements New Volunteer Policy

VolunteerShirt2013(Final) Readers who follow Inside American Fidelity know that we’re a family owned Company that takes pride in being a strong corporate citizen. We don’t just talk, we take action. That’s why we’re so excited this week to announce a new volunteer program for Colleagues. The Company is offering up to 20 hours per year to match volunteer hours Colleagues give to an organization. Whether its test monitoring at a local school, packing boxes at the food pantry or building a house, our Colleagues now can work in the community and receive paid time off to do it. The matching time off ensures Colleagues have time to devote to the causes that mean the most to them. If a Colleague spends an entire day working on a project, they can submit just four hours of regular time off and receive an additional four hours of paid time from their volunteer bank. The guidelines for qualifying organizations are broad enough that almost anything will qualify, as long as the project is sponsored by a non-profit agency or school. More workers are looking for ways to connect with and give back to their communities. And now American Fidelity is working with our Colleagues to help them accomplish that goal.
